Charles Oliveira is hyped for Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3, just like everyone is
Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 will get underway in a matter of hours. The grudge match will see the victor get to settle the scores in the 7-year old rivalry.
After beating Poirier at UFC 178, McGregor felt that he would have it easy once again in the rematch at UFC 257. However, it was not so, as Poirier knocked out McGregor in the second round of the fight, handing ‘The Irishman’ his first-ever knockout loss.
With the scores at 1-1, a trilogy bout was agreed in the immediate aftermath of UFC 257. And now, the fight is almost upon us.
Elsewhere, UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira gave his prediction for the upcoming trilogy fight.
‘Do Bronx’ felt that McGregor would win the fight this time around:
He told the Schmo:
“It is a really good fight. I’ve never chosen an opponent for me. But I guess, this time, Conor [McGregor] is gonna win.”
Charles Oliveira will be in attendance for the fight. He will be closely watching as the winner of the trilogy fight will face him next, which also marks the Brazilian’s first title defence.
Coach John Kavanagh posts a cryptic message ahead of Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3
Coach John Kavanagh who has been by McGregor’s side for ages, posted a rather mystifying message on Instagram ahead of the trilogy fight.
Posting a picture of a young McGregor and himself, Kavanagh wrote:
“Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I’ll ever know. Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day.”
