UFC featherweight Chase Hooper reacted to Jake Paul brutally knocking out Tyron Woodley in their rematch
Jake Paul is proving his doubters and haters wrong. ‘The Problem Child’ knocked out former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley when the pair squared off in a rematch at a packed Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
After having edged out Woodley via. split decision in August, earlier this year, Paul was scheduled to face British Boxer Tommy Fury on the 18th of December. However, a couple of weeks before the fight Fury pulled out due to a rib injury.
Woodley decided to take up the fight on short notice in a bid to exact revenge against the YouTuber. The fight started out slowly, and it was a clear snoozefest until Paul unleashed a massive right hand in the sixth round that had Woodley folded like a chair.
It was an even fight until then – laden with umpteen hugs. Woodley even threw Paul down in one of the rounds.
UFC featherweight prospect Chase Hooper who was all eyes on the game wasn’t happy with the result. However, the 22-year old stated that that was an expected result.
Taking to Twitter, Hooper wrote:
“It’s not the result I wanted, but it’s definitely the one I was expecting…“
Jake Paul still undefeated as a professional boxer
With that brutal KO win over Tyron Woodley, Jake Paul extended his unbeaten run in his professional boxing career. The former Disney star has a 5-0 record now.
Starting off with a TKO win over fellow YouTuber AnesonGib, Paul moved into the zone of taking on athletes. First, it was ex-Basketballer Nate Robinson. Paul KOed Robinson. He then took on MMA opponents – Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.
Looks like it is time for ‘The Problem Child’ to fight pro boxers.
