Bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling pulls no punches against Petr Yan as verbal banter continues between the two
The grudge match between bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and interim champion Petr Yan is intensifying by the day. They’ve had exchanges on Twitter on multiple occasions firing digs at each other.
In a recent post on Twitter ‘The Funkmaster’ has claimed that the latter in actuality is afraid to fight him.
Sterling has captured the bantamweight gold from Petr Yan at UFC 259, after Yan delivered an illegal knee late in the fourth round of the title fight. The pair is expected to face each other again and settle their feud at UFC 273.
In a recent tweet, Petr Yan took a dig at Henry Cejudo suggesting that he should quit coaching, just like he did with fighting.
He wrote:
“Not impressed, I think @HenryCejudo need to quit coaching just like he quit fighting.”
Yan is famously known for not mincing words when it comes to expressing his opinion and he backs it up with his cold-blooded fighting style. This statement by him might come as a surprise for many since a lot of fighters have now had training camps with ‘Triple C’ and shown massive refinement.
Will the two meet inside the octagon is still a question that excites hardcore fans.
