Chris Leben had been hospitalised in early February after contracting COVID-19
Former UFC star Chris Leben posted a positive update from hospital as he continues his COVID-19 recovery. The 41-year-old appeared in the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. Leben had also fought legends Michael Bisping and Anderson Silva during his time in the UFC.
However, COVID-19 seemed to have gotten to him as he needed to be hospitalised early in February 2022.
Leben has now posted a better update where he claimed he was feeling “pretty good.” He also claimed that there were no other tubes in his body and it was only an oxygen tube that he was using.
The 41-year-old also claimed that he was happy to be alive and he had a 100% chance of recovery. The former UFC star added that he might take a year to make a complete recovery but was just happy he would be getting out of the hospital.
Many have been affected by COVID-19. The virus has killed millions across the world, but many have also made a complete recovery after catching the virus.
Hopefully, Leben will be in the best of health after he leaves the hospital.
Chris Leben’s MMA career
Leben is a semi-finalist from the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. He had a decent run in the UFC and at one stage picked up five straight wins. However, that run was stopped by Silva at UFC Fight Night 5.
Leben’s MMA career didn’t have the best of endings as he finished with four straight losses, the last of which came in 2013 against Uriah Hall. Leben’s MMA record stands at 22 wins and 12 losses.
He did try his luck in bareknuckle boxing and finished that career with a record of 3-1.
