Frenchman, Ciryl Gane is the number 3 ranked UFC heavyweight
Ciryl Gane is just a day away from the most important night in his MMA career. ‘Bon Gamin’ is also set to take on Derrick Lewis in the main event of UFC 265, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
The fight will be for the interim heavyweight championship, with the winner facing heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou for the title unification.
With all the pre-fight proceedings done, right from the pre-fight presser to the ceremonial weigh-ins, Gane will be out, Saturday night, aiming for glory.
Just ahead of the ceremonial weigh-ins yesterday, Gane hosted a Q&A session on Twitter, asking fans to shoot questions.
He was asked who his favourite fighter in the UFC was. Gane straightaway replied that it was middleweight king Israel Adesanya. “Izzy”, Gane replied.
Adesanya is known for his well-rounded striking. A kickboxer, just like Gane was prior to joining the UFC, his holistic abilities on the feet are unmatched in the middleweight division.
Ciryl Gane shares his prediction for Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones
Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones – a fight that has failed to see the light of the day, for quite a while, might definitely happen one day.
Gane weighed in on the super-clash. When asked for his prediction for the fight between Jones and Ngannou, Gane picked Ngannou.
Two back-to-back wins from here, and Gane might be the one ending up facing Jon Jones.
