Conor McGregor has had his coach John Kavanagh by his side since time immemorial
Conor McGregor is just hours away from his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 264. Having his back against the wall, the Irishman will be looking to go all out this time around.
With the training camp done and dusted, both the fighters successfully have made their weights and are ready to face off on Saturday night.
McGregor’s coaches John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy will be hoping that ‘The Notorious One’ would emerge victorious this time.
With only a little time left for the fight, Kavanagh posted a cryptic message on Instagram that seemed to hint at a possible last fight for McGregor.
Posting a picture of a young McGregor gearing up for his fight, back in those days, Kavanagh captioned the post:
“Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I’ll ever know. Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day.”
Although, it sounded more like a warrior call, no one knows why Kavanagh wrote, “Into the last good fight I’ll ever know,” especially given the current situation McGregor is in.
Nate Diaz sounds hopeful of a trilogy fight with Conor McGregor
It looks like fight fans might get to see a trilogy bout between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz after all. In a recent interview with the Schmo, Diaz claimed that he might fight ‘The Notorious One’ in the future.
He told the Schmo:
“Yeah time will tell. Let’s see what happens.”
Diaz and McGregor last fought in August 2016, where McGregor exacted revenge for his March 2016 loss against Diaz.
