Khabib, who recently made his UFC retirement official, is not on the books of Dana White’s promotion anymore.

That allows him the freedom to travel to other promotions and The Eagle was there in the corner of his cousin, Usman.

Khabib had already picked up wins as a coach for Islam Makhachev and Abubakar Nurmagomedov. Makhachev and Abubakar picked up dominant wins too at UFC 259 and UFC 260. Khabib was in the corner for both stars and he seems to be loving his new role.

The Eagle was also helping Usman out in this clash and it led to a unanimous decision win for the Russian.

This was Usman’s debut Bellator fight and he impressed against Mike Hamel. The Russian is undefeated in his professional MMA career and holds a record of 12 straight wins after Bellator 255.

Khabib has been on quite a streak since retiring from the UFC. The Eagle is still working out regularly but he is keen on sharing his knowledge with the rest of his friends and relatives.

So far, his work has been flawless and many were quick to point out that he is undefeated in 2021, as a coach.

While many remember the three most recent fights, Khabib also help Umar to a win in January, and The Eagle is 4-0 as a coach in 2021.

It will be interesting to see how Khabib does as a coach from now on. Going 4-0 is pretty good in 2021 and some have already claimed The Eagle is going to be the coach of the year.

His students have dominated their rivals so far, and with Khabib shifting between organisations and getting these wins, a lot of awards could be on the horizon in 2021.
