Khabib Nurmagomedov is carving a career for himself as a successful coach

After hanging up his gloves at UFC 254, Khabib Nurmagomedov didn’t just walk away from the sport. His love for the sport gave rise to a new undertaking – Coach.

‘The Eagle’ began training his fellow Dagestani brothers earlier this year, and has had phenomenal success across multiple promotions.

Notable among them were Islam Makhachev, Usman Nurmagomedov and Abubakar Nurmagomedov.

Currently 4-0 as a coach, Khabib will be looking to stay undefeated in his coaching career as well.

With important fights coming up for Makhachev, Abubakar, and others, Khabib posted a message on Instagram, asking them to be ready.

He wrote: “July will be interesting,” tagging Abubakar, Makhachev, Usman, and Islam Mamedov.

Khabib also has the pillar of support, that is, Javier Mendez of the American Kickboxing Academy. He always gets valuable inputs from Mendez and has been putting them to proper use.

Islam Makhachev’s next fight is against Thiago Moises

Makhachev, the number 10 ranked lightweight hasn’t lost a fight since 2015. He is currently ranked number 10 in the lightweight division and is now set to face number 15 ranked Thiago Moises.

With the help of Khabib, Makhachev will be looking forward to seeing off the Brazilian, and move further upwards in the lightweight division.

And, Abubakar who recently fought at UFC 260, against Jared Gooden, is scheduled to face Daniel Rodriguez. Both the fighters are coming off a unanimous decision victory.

Islam Mamedov will have Khabib for the first time in his corner as a coach, as he is all set to make his Bellator debut.
