Tensions have started to flare, as the UFC 272 grudge match between Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington draws near
There is nothing more satisfying for fight fans than to watch two fighters settle their disputes inside the octagon. To quote Jorge Masvidal, he most hilariously stated that he’s blessed with this job as a fighter because he gets to punch his co-workers that he does not like. And he hates no one more than his confidant turned nemesis, Colby Covington.
The pair set down with Stephen A.Smith as part of the media promotions for UFC 272, and the two minutes promo clip of the interview was above and beyond anything the fans expected from the grudge match. The duo chirped back at each other constantly, throwing allegations and hurling insults.
Masvidal first spoke about how Covington betrayed his team and his coaches by saying, “It first started out with this piece of s**t not paying my coach $12,500 for a fight that my coach coached him his whole f*****g career. Then when he had the chance to finally pay back the $12,500 he didn’t. So, I went out there and paid my coach out of my own pocket so since then it was like I’m going to f**k him up at some point. Look at him smiling, he can’t even keep a straight face yet everyone at American Top Team knows that’s why he got kicked out, soon to be kicked out of this gym because you don’t pay your bills, and your drowning in debt from all the loan sharks that you owe money in South Florida from poker. You know what is going to happen to you if you don’t pay that money. Keep smiling, little b***h I can’t wait to break those fake teeth. He ain’t got st to say, he’s a broke b***h.
Colby responded to that and said, “It’s fake news, Stephen it’s fake news. Anything Jorge Masvidal says is a lie. You can’t believe anything he says, he’s all talk no walk. Yeah, he’s getting paid a lot of money like Dak Prescott for the Cowboys but he ain’t doing anything. He ain’t doing anything. Stephen A., you can ask his owner, his master Dan Lambert actually knows how much I got paid. That night I got that paycheck, I got paid half of what they said, the commission said I made doubled what they said, I got half that.”
We are just a weekend away from the fight week for UFC 272 and the hype surrounding the event is intensifying by the minute.
Jorge Masvidal rips Nate Diaz- Calls him ‘f*cking broomstick’ and says ‘I almost damn near killed him’
Masvidal is eager to rekindle his rivalry with one of the biggest names in MMA, Nate Diaz should he get past Covington. During a live session on Rumble, ‘Gamebred’ clarified that all love is lost for Diaz, who he once respected immensely.
He stated, “That motherfcker doesn’t want it, man. almost damn near killed him, I beat him an inch within his fcking skinny life. You saw his last fight with Leon. I was like, man, they make that mistake and put this guy in there with me again, you know? He’s not trying to fight.”
Masvial who won their previous fight for the ‘BMF’ belt via doctor stoppage added, “That little fcking broomstick keeps talking,” Masvidal said. “You’re going to have to go at some point, you know. [When] I take Colby [Covington]’s ass out, if I gotta wait for Usman, it could be you that gets this ass whooping, bro… Let’s fcking go, man, I’m gonna break your f*cking face, bro.
