Colby Covington Injury Update: The top-ranked welterweight was seen walking with crutches after his loss against Kamaru Usman at UFC 268

The main event of UFC 268, delivered as expected. Although it wasn’t as explosive as the first fight at UFC 245, Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington put on a brilliant performance.

In the end, Usman ended up winning the fight via. unanimous decision. The final scores read, 48-47, 48-47, 49-46 on the three judges’ scorecards. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ was clearly a notch above the American.

Covington survived a huge knockdown in the second round. After being caught by the powerful hands of Usman, it looked like the fight might end quickly.

However, ‘Chaos’ held on and somehow saw off the round. It was only after this did he bounce back, and caught Usman with a couple of strikes of his own in the later rounds.

Usman is currently 2-0 up in his rivalry with Covington. This was his 5th successful welterweight title defense. He is still undefeated in the UFC, and on his way to becoming the greatest welterweight of all time.
