Colby Covington has emerged as a heavy favorite, should he fight Dustin Poirier in another grudge match following UFC 272
Ever since Colby Covington called out Dustin Poirier during his UFC 272 post-fight interview, betting wizards have come out with the opening odds for a potential fight between the two.
Colby Covington has set out on a mission to hold his former teammates accountable for bad-mouthing him. He called out Dustin Poirier during the post-fight interview saying, “I just took care of Miami street trash; now it’s time to take care of Louisiana swamp trash. Where you at Dustin Poirier. You said it’s on sight; name the site.”
Matchmakers immediately started working a fanstasy fight in which, ‘Chaos’ opened up as a -400 favorite. ‘The Diamond’, on the other hand, is a +300 underdog, per Chamatkar Sandhu, citing the latest odds from BetOnline.
As for Covington, he finds himself in a weird spot, even after a victory. He has already fought for the title twice in vain, and a third shot most certainly only makes sense, if the champion changes.
Colby Covington jeered at Drake for betting 275k on Masvidal
Colby Covington is on cloud nine, ever since he battered bitter rival Masvidal, for a unanimous decision victory. He has since cranked up his usual trash-talk up a notch, and this time launched an attack on hip hop sensation, Drake.
Drake publicly bet $275,000 on Masvidal via the Stake betting app, with whom the MC has a partnership. Speaking about his lost money, Colby said,
“Let’s talk about all the money that Drake lost tonight,” Covington told the assembled press. “He needs to go back to, you know, selling those shitty albums to get back the money. He should have went to America’s Pick of the Week by mybookie[.ag]. I tried to give the people the pick of the week. I’m America’s champ, and I was America’s pick of the week. Drake, you suck at sports betting. Go back to your shitty little albums and rapping.”
