Colby Covington opened up on a recent photo he posted on Instagram with the wife of Jorge Masvidal.
Covington is an entertainer, inside the octagon and outside as well. He’s pretty good at trash-talking and has got that menacing vibe, enough to turn anyone into his rival within seconds.
The number one ranked welterweight contender is currently without an opponent and is waiting for the winner of the rematch between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261. He is expected to take on the winner of this fight, for the welterweight title.
Covington recently shared a photo on Instagram where he was pictured alongside Masvidal’s wife Maritza (now not in good terms with Masvidal).
Speaking in an interview with the Schmo, Covington opened up on catching up with Maritza, and claimed that there were a ton of fake news circulating on Google regarding her.
Chaos told the Schmo:
“That was today…That’s Miss Masvidal. She is legally married to Jorge Masvidal still. She has two of Jorge Masvidal’s kids. And what’s funny Schmo, if you look into, you go Google the internet, you find out that Google isn’t real…It says the wife of Jorge Masvidal and the mother of his two children is Iman Kawa – that is Malki Kawa and Abraham Kawa’s sister…How disrespectful is that to his real wife and his real mother of his children – the friend that I was with today.”
Covington further stated that he had caught up with her, just like he used to before, when he was good friends with Masvidal:
“We were playing games. We were catching up on the past. I used to be good friends with her and the family. At one point in time, me and Jorge Masvidal were very good friends. I was over at the house a lot of times. Hangin’ out with the kids, hangin’ out with his wife who he is legally married to – Maritza. We just wanted to have a little blast in the past, and talk a little bit about the future and everything that’s going on.”

Covington sounded irate and disheartened when he spoke about Masvidal not respecting Maritza and trying to ruin her and the kids’ life.
He vowed to break Gamebred’s face for doing that to his own family.
Covington told the Schmo:
“Jorge’s trying to ruin her and her kids’ life. It is sad man. I want to end that dude, I want to break his face and I wanna end him for the piece of shit that he is.”
If Masvidal manages to pull off an upset against Usman, a bad-blood laden match against Covington awaits him.
