Conor McGregor played ‘Tweet-and-delete’ once again, this time with Alexander Volkanovski
Alexander Volkanovski put on a show in the main event of UFC 266. ‘The Great’ beat Brian Ortega to successfully retain his featherweight belt for the second successive time, in what is considered to be one of the greatest fights in modern MMA history.
Volkanovski also looked in tremendous shape during the fight. He was fitter than ever, and it was correctly pointed out by commentators Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik.
Elsewhere, UFC lightweight Conor McGregor was all eyes on the game. And, as usual, especially in recent times, he posted a derogatory Tweet aimed at Volkanovski.
Mocking Volk’s physical structure, McGregor went on to call him a ‘little fart.’ However, he deleted the Tweet a while later.
McGregor’s Tweet read:
“I’d kick this volovski head off like it was a rugby ball I was kicking. 5’4! And full of muscle! Hahahahaha little fart he is. Not even a little fart. A shart haahahahaj jackass.”
Alexander Volkanovski responds to Conor McGregor
Alexander Volkanvoski clapped back at Conor McGregor following his Tweet. He initially urged him to come down to featherweight to take him on, before going on to state that he would very well step up to the lightweight division to fight him one day.
There was a time when, McGregor ruled the featherweight division. He became the champion after beating Jose Aldo in 2015.
It is worth noting that, McGregor has never been defeated in the UFC whilst fighting in the featherweight division.
