Conor McGregor took to Twitter to acknowledge Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder’s incredible showing at their boxing match on the 9th of October
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder put on a masterclass in their trilogy fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Following knockdown after knockdown, Fury emerged victorious after knocking Wilder out cold in the eleventh round.
The first eight rounds were unbelievably unpredictable. And once Wilder began gassing out and exhibiting wobbly legs, Fury began sniffing a victory.
And once he did, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ had his soul taken out.
The world was in awe of what it had just witnessed. A pure modern-day classic enough to ridicule the claim that, “Boxing is dead.”
A plethora of reactions on social media followed. Both Fury and Wilder were hailed as warriors.
UFC lightweight Conor McGregor who had eyes on the game lauded both Fury and Wilder for their performance that is worthy enough to be right up there in the boxing history books.
Taking to Twitter, McGregor sent his wishes to the families of both Fury and Wilder before going on to acknowledge how the fight could have gone either way.
Here is what ‘The Notorious’ had to say:
“Congrats Tyson and Paris. Me and Dee are so happy for you and the kids. Congrats Deontay and Telli also. Was great meeting you guys recently. A real proud showing that was, and could have went either way. Amazing! Happy Sunday now today with the cheddar and the memory’s God bless.”
