Conor McGregor recently beat the likes of LeBron James, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to top the Forbes’ List of Highest Paid Athletes for the year 2021
McGregor had quite a miserable year on-court. But off-court his 2021 was wild. He made a huge amount of money through the sale of his Whiskey, Proper No.12 to Proximo Spirits. That deal alone made McGregor a whopping $150 million.
Besides that he earned around $22 million for his loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257. A staggering $180 million in earnings saw him beat the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and LeBron James.
Recently a page named Vover Audio on Instagram shared a graphic of the top 5 highest paid sports stars for the year 2021. The picture showed McGregor and James seated close to each other, with James spinning a basketball in one hand and holding a lion cub in the other.
McGregor took to Instagram, as he shared the image and questioned James, how much that lion cub cost.
McGregor’s caption read:
“How much for that lion cub lebron?”
Conor McGregor sends love and support to an ailing fan
McGregor recently sent his love and support to a young fan recovering from brain surgery. The fan’s father had decided to mention McGregor in his tweet hoping that the Irishman would notice and send his wishes for his son Luca.
McGregor did send in his wishes, and promised to take young Luca to a UFC event, once he recovered completely.
McGregor’s tweet read:
“What’s up Luca my man! Stay strong young brother! Heal up and we will get you out to a live @ufc event in the near future.”
That was largely heart warming to see. McGregor then, also promised a pair of McGregor Fast Gloves and McGregor Fast Merchandise for the fan.
He wrote:
“Get this young man a pair of @McGregorFast gloves and some @McGregorFast merchandise! A real fighter, Luca!”
