Conor McGregor has been putting in the hard yards for his fight against Dustin Poirier
Conor McGregor is just a few weeks away from his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier. The UFC veterans will fight it out in the main event of UFC 264 on the 10th of July.
The winner of the bout will get to fight against newly-crowned lightweight champion Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title.
Both the fighters have been sweating it out, and McGregor especially has been very active on social media sharing his workout pictures from time to time.
In a recent photo he shared on Twitter, where he promoted a recovery spray – Tidl Sport, he also sounded off an ominous warning that he was ready to run through a building.
McGregor wrote:
“Putting my @tidlsport recovery spray on me and getting to work. I’m ready to run thru a building. See you soon, god bless ya.”
Poirier will be wary of the charged-up McGregor he would be facing this time around, after beating ‘The Irishman’ at UFC 257. In fact McGregor’s loss at UFC 257, was the first time he suffered a knockout loss in his MMA career.
Conor McGregor and former boxer Paulie Malignaggi have a long-standing ever-present feud that dates back to August 2017.
In a recent interview with ‘Real Talk with Kelsey and Rachel’ of HEAVY.com’, Malignaggi warned that he would destroy McGregor in a winner takes all fight.
“Conor and I would fight only if it is a winner takes all fight. The loser has to fight for free and that’s how confident I am…I would absolutely smoke the guy.”
McGregor is currently focusing on bigger things, and hence hasn’t responded to Malignaggi’s comments.
