There were a lot of eyes at the UFC 262 main event between Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler.

This fight was for the vacant UFC Lightweight title as the promotion aimed to find a king to replace Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Chandler impressed in his UFC debut with a KO win over Dan Hooker. Oliveira, for his part, was coming in with a great winning streak and had demolished Tony Ferguson in his last outing.

The fight was incredible and it seemed that Chandler was going to become the new champion after his stint as a champion in Bellator.

However, Oliveira survived a huge blitzkrieg and knocked out Chandler to finally win the gold. Oliveira was emotional after winning and was congratulated by many in the arena.

Who is to face Charles Oliveira next?

The big question on everyone’s lips is who Oliveira will defend his belt against next. Justin Gaethje could be one man as he was the last person to face Khabib, but he has spoken about wanting to go into his next battle after a win.

However, the next opponent could be come from the Poirier vs McGregor trilogy. Poirier was to fight for the belt after defeating McGregor in the second outing.

The Diamond chose to fight McGregor for the money and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this clash.
