Conor McGregor seems happy to see Cristiano Ronaldo back at Manchester United

This year’s summer football transfer window has been crazy and a few days are still left.

No one envisaged Lionel Messi moving away from Barcelona but the Argentine joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free deal.

Sergio Ramos also ended up at PSG but there was more craziness to come in the summer. Cristiano Ronaldo, who had been at Juventus, made a quick move to get out of the Serie A giants. He had been linked with Manchester City but ended up sealing a dream return to his old club Manchester United.

Moving to City would have broken a few hearts since City and United are rivals, but this was a big move in the transfer window.

United had already signed Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, but this €25m reported move has gotten a lot of people talking.

One of them is former two-division UFC Champion Conor McGregor. McGregor has spoken about his support for United in the past and was glad to hear about this.

This isn’t the first time a top name has returned to their former club. Romelu Lukaku did that in this transfer window too as he rejoined Chelsea via Inter Milan.

What can Manchester United expect from Cristiano Ronaldo?

Ronaldo was one of the top stars in the Serie A before he made his return to the club. United have a ton of attacking talent in Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, and this only strengthens their attack.

The Red Devils were outside bets for the Premier League title and more. And this signing of Ronaldo’s only adds more hype to the team.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer might not have dreamt of this signing happening, but there now is a chance for something special to happen at the Red side of Manchester.
