Conor McGregor has a surprising reaction to Daniel Cormier naming him as top must-see UFC fighter

Daniel Cormier recently picked Conor McGregor as the top must-see UFC fighter despite recent animosity between the pair

Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier might never clash in the Octagon, given that the latter is retired and has fought in a different division.

However, that didn’t stop the pair from going at it on social media recently. Cormier called out McGregor for some comments made against Khabib Nurmagomedov’s family while the Irishman claimed that Cormier needed help regarding his alleged alcohol issues.

McGregor also claimed that Cormier needed some help with his weight, but the bad blood seems to have come down after DC made a fantasy team.

DC was on the DC and RC show and drafted a top five team that had the must-see fighters in the UFC. Each pick was taken one after the other and DC’s first choice, despite the bad blood was McGregor.

McGregor responded to this and claimed that he would be #1 to #5 but he had respect for DC:

“Fair, although I would say I am 1 thru 5 before other comes in, but I understand. Respect Daniel, carry on, god bless.”

McGregor also told DC to get a bottle of his famous Proper 12 Whiskey, which could have been a dig at the drinking issues that the Irishman had brought up about Cormier:

“Nice one mate, get a bottle of 12 onto the set now. You were seen!”

DC names four other big names

There is no doubting that McGregor is the biggest name in the history of the UFC. Most of the top PPV sales have come with him on the card, and most fighters would love a payday against McGregor.

Cormier, however, had some other big names on his list. Brock Lesnar, Georges St-Pierre and Khabib Nurmagomedov were the next three names.

The fifth and final name on DC’s list was Ronda Rousey and to be honest, a card featuring those five names would have blown the roof off the arena and in terms of PPV sales as well.
