Conor McGregor brought up the wife of Dustin Poirier, Jolie, ahead of their UFC 264 clash

Conor McGregor is back in his old unhinged mode as he prepares to face Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

The Irishman is coming off a KO loss to the Diamond a few months back, and is looking for revenge in the trilogy.

The pair are 1-1 after two fights and the winner of this clash could get a UFC Lightweight title shot. Poirier decided not to go for the gold as he wanted a third fight with McGregor, and the Diamond might have bitten off more than he can chew.

McGregor was respectful of Poirier in the previous fight but things have changed. He claimed that Poirier’s wife, Jolie, had messaged him on social media.

However, things took another turn when Poirier comment on McGregor’s thinning hairline. McGregor wasn’t having any of it and claimed that Poirier’s wife wanted some X-rated details regarding the former champion.

“Your wife wants to see the hair around my d*** and b**** bro. See what that’s like. It’s real the message request mate, no trash talk. Man to man, it’s f***** up! I seen your interview with Mike you think it was fake. It’s not.

“Have a think on it in the sauna anyway.”

Conor McGregor going back to his roots?

Many fans were confused when McGregor was respectful of Poirier in their last outing. However, all of that seems to be in the past as the Irishman has gone back to what he was known for.

This is the McGregor that destroyed opponents with his mind games and he might be doing that with Poirier too.

This also is not the first time McGregor has gone personal with his rival, and it will be interesting to see how The Diamond deals with this.

Poirier, for his part, hasn’t really been abusive or X-rated in his comments. But, all of that could change with this one tweet from McGregor.
