Conor McGregor has begun an online war with Dustin Poirier
With just a week left for the trilogy bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, McGregor has begun firing shots at the ‘Diamond’.
The pair will be taking center stage on the 10th of July at UFC 264. The fight will see the victor get a lightweight title shot against newly-crowned lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
A fortnight ago, McGregor had posted a Tweet calling the first to one to shoot for a takedown, a b****.
The tweet road, “First one to shoots a dusty bitch.”
Following McGregor’s tweet, Poirier responded to it in a recent interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN. ‘The Diamond’ claimed that McGregor’s tweet oozed insecurity.
Poirier told Okamoto:
“How about the first one to get taken down is a dusty b****? This is mixed martial arts. Put it all together. It reeks of insecurity to me.“
This didn’t sit well with McGregor, as he mocked Poirier claimed that he was someone who would be looking outside his cage for advice.
“Quick take for you and your team pal – You’s got pucked around in the clinch! Elbows, knees, shoulders, fists. Looking outside the cage for advice. #strikerturnedwreslter #dustybitch.”
Max Holloway responds to Conor McGregor’s best boxer comments
Max Holloway wasn’t happy when McGregor mentioned something about being the best boxer. The number 1 ranked featherweight has from time to time claimed to be the best boxer in the UFC.
McGregor had replied to Poirier’s comments about who would be shooting for the takedown first in the trilogy fight.
He mocked Poirier with a tweet that read:
“Best boxer, my ass! Shooting ass, shelling ass bitch.”
On seeing this Holloway replied:
“Sup bro you rang?”
