Conor McGregor had a lot to say after seeing Nate Diaz in a gaming chair
UFC lightweight fighter Nate Diaz was a guest on ESPN MMA talk show this week. In the interview, he discussed who he would like to fight next out of the current stock of fighters.
‘The Stockton Slugger’ said that a fight against Dustin Poirier or Charles Oliveira interests him. He also slated the Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier fight and hit out at the Irishman.
However, something else struck McGregor’s eyes when he saw the video on his Instagram feed.
‘The Notorious One’ was amused by Diaz sitting in a funky gaming chair throughout the interview. And, he let his feelings known.
The Irishman made 4 back-to-back comments poking fun at Diaz for his chair. All of them mentioned how the ‘race car’ chair was not fitting Diaz’s badass persona that he portrays.
The Irishman and the American have, of course, had a colourful history together at UFC.
Could Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor fight next?
They have fought each other twice in 2016, with both of them winning one bout each. Diaz won the first fight, which was at UFC 196, with the Irishman winning their UFC 202 rematch.
And now, there have been rumours that the two could complete a trilogy of fights. Both of them are in a similar position.
Diaz has not fought in well over a year, with his last fight coming in a defeat against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244. The Notorious One, on the other hand, fought his first fight in a year at UFC 256.
The result was a devastating round 2 loss against Dustin Poirier. McGregor seems more inclined towards a rematch with ‘The Diamond’, which he might just end up getting.
Diaz too is interested in fighting Poirier. However, for Diaz, a third fight with Conor McGregor might just be the way to go.
The former UFC double-champ would surely not be given a title fight next and if his fight against Poirier does not materialize, Diaz could well be his next opponent.
