Conor McGregor is determined to exact revenge on Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout

McGregor is gearing up for his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier, on the 10th of July. The fight will headline the main event of UFC 264 in front of a full house in Vegas.

Poirier made it 1-1 in the rivalry after he earned a stunning knockout victory over McGregor at UFC 257, earlier this year. The pair had first met at UFC 178 in September 2014, which McGregor had won via first-round knockout.

Going into the rematch at UFC 257, the Irishman looked a mere shadow of his ‘Notorious’ self. He was seen shaking hands with Poirier at the weigh-ins, giving the ‘Diamond’ the highest respect any opponent would have ever given him.

The Notorious was basically Mr Nice Guy at UFC 257.

Just a few weeks after his loss to Poirier he posted that he would no more be Mr Nice Guyand that he was back to his original ‘Notorious’ self.

A testament to that, McGregor has recently sent a ‘divine warning’ to Poirier on Twitter, ahead of their trilogy fight.

McGregor warned Poirier that he had awoken a beast, with the backing of an even higher power, before asking him to say his prayers.
