Conor McGregor is hell-bent on fighting Dustin Poirier in a quadrilogy fight
Had Conor McGregor been beaten fair and square at UFC 264, he might have walked off quietly.
Despite being dominated in the first round of the fight, McGregor’s quest for revenge in the trilogy ended in an unusual manner.
The Irishman broke his left ankle towards the end of the first round, which led to the referee waving off the fight and awarding it to Poirier, after a check from the Octagon officials.
The general consensus following the fight was that McGregor would have been finished by Poirier in the later rounds, but ‘The Notorious’ would take none of that.
All that has been running in his mind now is a quadrilogy fight.
After being discharged from the hospital following his ankle break, McGregor recently took to Instagram to post a picture of himself sparring (probably a week prior to the Poirier trilogy fight). He captioned the post teasing a quadrilogy fight with the ‘Diamond’.
McGregor wrote:
“Lethal weapon 4” starring Mystic Mac @claymoreproductions #trailercomingsoon.”
It is worth noting that Claymore Productions is a production company owned by the Irishman himself.
McGregor recently confirmed that he would be releasing a 4-part Netflix docuseries. The docuseries will also have behind-the-scenes footage of McGregor struggling with stress fractures and a menacing left ankle prior to the Poirier trilogy fight.
‘The Irishman’ wrote on Twitter:
“All you pull out merchants wouldn’t last 13 seconds in my world. My 4 part Netflix docuseries coming soon has the entire bts. I’m gonna title it “Mad Mac’s: Fury Road”
