Conor McGregor wished Ian Garry good luck as the latter is all set to make his UFC debut at UFC 268
Dubbed the next big thing from Ireland, Ian ‘The Future’ Garry will be making his UFC debut at the stacked UFC 268 on the 6th of November, 2021 at the Madison Square Garden.
The lanky welterweight will be taking on Jordan Williams in the prelims card of the event. Having never lost a single fight previously (7-0), Garry was formerly the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship’s welterweight champion. He has 5 finishes from his 7 wins.
With the fight inching closer, fellow countryman Conor McGregor wished ‘The Future’ good luck.
Taking to Twitter, McGregor wrote:
“Good luck to Ireland’s Ian Garry making his UFC debut tonight at MSG! Enjoy it all my man, the stuff dreams are made of! A solid young Irish fighter to keep an eye on 🇮🇪
Let’s go @iangarryMMA!”
There was a time when a young Garry met his inspiration, McGregor, when the latter was surging to the peak. And now, Garry believes it is his turn to follow in McGregor’s footsteps.
Ian Garry then replied to McGregor’s Tweet. Quote tweeting McGregor’s tweet, Garry sounded off a warning:
“Appreciate horse. We’re not here to take part.”
Garry is coming off a victory over Jack Grant that saw him win the CWFC welterweight title. His opponent for tonight, Jordan Williams, last fought Mickey Gall, and lost via. submission.
