Conor McGregor recently attacked Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti while partying in Rome
You just can’t keep Conor McGregor out of the news. The Irishman recently attacked Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti while partying in Rome.
McGregor is currently in Rome for the baptism of his newborn son, and also for the delivery of his Lamborghini Yacht.
Once his son was baptized in the Vatican, McGregor partied late into the night with Facchinetti, and in the most unexpected of moments, punched him in the face, injuring him severely.
Facchinetti, later took to Instagram to share McGregor’s violent misconduct.
More recently, in an interview, detailed what happened that night in Rome. Facchinetti highlighted how haphazard and random McGregor’s behaviour was:
“One minute, we were talking in a friendly manner, and the next, he just lashed out at me. We were having a drink together, and everything seemed fine when suddenly he changed. I was a few inches from him when he punched me full in the face with his right hand.” [via BJ Penn.com]
Several MMA stars, notably Michael Bisping condemned the actions of McGregor who has been in the news for all the bad reasons in recent times.

Francesco Facchinetti then went on to explain how his wife just couldn’t fathom what had happened and began screaming.
A pall of uncertainty prevailed and remained until McGregor had been taken away.
Here is what Facchinetti had to say:
“I was stunned. There was a lot of blood, and my wife became hysterical and screaming. One of the bodyguards tried to calm her down, and two people immediately jumped on McGregor and dragged him away. I could not believe that he had hit me. I must admit I was worried about what he would do next, but he was quickly taken away. Everyone was very shocked and upset. No one could not believe what he had done. It was just so unfair and uncalled for.” [via BJ Penn.com]
McGregor is recovering from his ankle injury which he suffered during UFC 264. He is expected to be back in January 2022.
