WWE legend Mick Foley fires Conor McGregor for comments at Jolie Poirier
Conor McGregor vented his frustrations out after Sunday’s gruesome loss to Dustin Poirier at the UFC 264 main event, once again dragging Jolie Poirier into the feud.
However, it seemed that he crossed the line again and this time a WWE legend was upset about all this.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley took note to his behaviour, by posting on Twitter after the match at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He said:
“The trash talking about Dustin’s wife had that internet troll feel – very distasteful and unbecoming of any competitor, let alone a champion.”
McGregor did not hold back after the match was stopped handing Poirier a second successive win, saying:
“There was no check. There was not one of them was a check. Your wife is in my DM’s. Hey baby, hit me back up and I’ll chat to you later on. We’ll be having an afterparty at the Wynn nightclub baby.”
Meanwhile, Jolie Poirier was spotted flipping the bird on McGregor after the doctor called for a stoppage.
Poirier responded to McGregor: “Shut your b***h a**e.
“I can take even the trash – there’s no holds barred on the trash talk. But murder’s something you don’t clown around on. There’s no coming back from that.”
Poirier also spoke about the possibility of another UFC rematch, but that seems likely once McGregor returns from the bad injury.
The highly-anticipated match ended in the first round after McGregor suffered a brutal injury. As the Irishman stepped back, his ankle buckled under pressure and he collapsed to the ground. The doctor called for a stoppage and handed a TKO victory to Poirier.
McGregor was visibly fuming after the match taking shots at Poirier and his wife. He was taken outside the Octagon on a stretcher and is rumored to have broken his tibia.
The fourth fight is already a talk in town after the anti-climatic ending to the fight in Las Vegas.
