Conor McGregor was back with his ‘tweet-and-delete’ – firing shots at Khabib Nurmagomedov
Conor McGregor had a lot to say on Twitter, about his former rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.
‘The Eagle’ retired from the sport after an impressive 29-0 record. His father’s death played a big role in his retirement, and he was one of the very few fighters to have retired in their primes.
Despite the fact that it has been over a year since his retirement; McGregor-Khabib in the same sentence is just as common as it was back in those days.
A couple of months before, addressing the media, Khabib allegedly claimed that Jose Aldo was finished and didn’t seem him having a second prime.
Speaking in favour of his countryman Petr Yan, Khabib, in fact, wrote off Aldo.
However, Aldo looks like he is on an upward surge. The Brazilian recently beat Rob Font at UFC Vegas 44, and bring up his third successive win.

In the wake of Jose Aldo’s win over Rob Font, McGregor was asked about Khabib’s legacy. That was when McGregor replied stating that ‘The Eagle’ was a good fighter, albeit, for a matter of few weeks; before going on to bring up Khabib’s statements about Aldo.
McGregor tweeted:
“He was a good fighter for those few weeks alright lol. Retiring takes you from all lists though. He retired and at the same time cried to be placed on one. It debunks your few tweets saying he is not about that. He should have just kept quiet about Aldo. He is a fool now.”
