Conor McGregor was dealt some heavy kicks by Dustin Poirier but a new training videos shows that the Irishman has learned from his mistakes
Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor 3 could take place later in the summer, something that Dana White has alluded to.
McGregor lost the rematch at UFC 257 but is “obsessed” with a trilogy. Poirier has also confirmed he is open to the fight and it is to be seen when exactly this happens.
McGregor came into the UFC 257 as someone looking to get back in the title scene. However, he was humbled by Poirier thanks to some devastating kicks.
The Irishman was hobbling after the fight too but was back in training soon. He also claimed he was going back to his roots and wasn’t going to be Mr. Nice Guy and we could see the old McGregor back.
While that trash talking McGregor is something that can work before the fight, he seems to be working on his technique too.
Poirier used a ton of incredible kicks in his win, and it seems that McGregor is learning those too. The Irishman posted a video of him kicking a pole and his children were also doing their bit too.
McGregor is one of the best fighters in the world and it is interesting that he is almost hitting out at Poirier with his latest videos.
Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 is the money fight
Apart from this being a trilogy, McGregor vs Poirier 3 will be a huge money fight for the UFC. This may not be for the UFC Lightweight title, however, the UFC would make a ton of money from this.
Tyron Woodley, a former UFC Welterweight Champion, also backed this fight and claimed it would be a huge pay day for all involved.
The UFC has a ton of other top talents that are keen on winning the Lightweight title and it is to be seen how things work out.
White has spoken about holding an unofficial tournament to decide who wins the title. McGregor and Poirier are in that but The Diamond has already been calling himself as the uncrowned champion ever since the UFC 257 win.
