Irishman Lee Hammond will be making his pro debut on the 19th of November, and he received words of support from ‘The Face of the Fight Game,’ Conor McGregor himself
Lee Hammond is just a few hours away from his professional MMA debut. He will be taking on Ionut Brostic at Heroes Fight League 2 on the 19th of November. It is a promotion based in Bucharest, Romania.
Ahead of his debut, Hammond posted a picture from his weigh-ins on Instagram. An excited Hammond wrote:
“Weight made. I am in the best shape of my life. Thank you @tristin_kennedy_nutritionist for constantly educating me on nutrition for sports performance and general health. Owe you a lot!”
Hammond received words of support from Ireland’s best ever MMA fighter, Conor McGregor.
On his Instagram Stories, McGregor wrote:
“Let’s go Lee Hammond! SBG Ireland’s amateur world champion making his pro debut.”
Hammond was born in Dublin, Ireland. Like McGregor, he is also a lightweight.
Lee Hammond made his amateur MMA debut in October 2015
Lee Hammond comes with a wealth of amateur MMA experience. The Irishman made his amateur MMA debut on the 17th of October, 2015 and started off with a KO win over Guillaume Litko.
His last amateur fight was on the 12th of November, 2019. His record reads 15 wins and 5 defeats.
2 losses have come via. knockout and the rest via. split decision.
