The odds for the Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier trilogy seem to favour the Irishman, for now
Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 was finally confirmed by Dana White after some drama from both parties.
Poirier claimed that McGregor did not donate to his Good Fight Foundation, something the Irishman had promised before their UFC 257 bout.
McGregor shot back saying that Poirier did not share the plans over how the money was to be spent, and then called off the fight.
That led to a lot of commotion over what was next for McGregor. The Irishman even claimed he was looking for a new rival for July 10.
However, all of those fears were dealt with with White confirmed that tickets were on sale for the 10 July event.
This is going to be a huge fight and the odds are already in. Ariel Helwani shared some of the odds and it is McGregor who is the slight favourite in the clash.
This comes as a bit of a surprise given that McGregor has lost his last two fights in the Featherweight division.
However, McGregor is always a big draw for any UFC fight, and he seems charged up to set some things right.
Conor McGregor ready to smash Dustin Poirier
As expected, McGregor is ready to take it to Poirier. The Irishman was extremely respectful of The Diamond ahead of UFC 257.
However, the loss seems to have brought back the old McGregor. The Irishman spoke with Helwani and claimed he was going to destroy his rival:
“I signed my bout agreement this morning. I’m going to rip this game a new as***** July 10th. The Mac is back in Sin City! Full house!”
The interesting part of the entire quote was McGregor’s claim of signing the contract in the morning. This could be a bit of gamesmanship to have one over Poirier. Anything is possible with McGregor and he might have signed the contract a while back but decided to have some fun ahead of the clash.
