Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier is a huge fight and the Irishman shared a bold prediction in a new promo

UFC 257 has one of the biggest matches ever with Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier set to rock the Octagon, and the Irishman shared his prediction too.

The pair met in the past, almost seven years back, and it was McGregor who got the win. However, that was a different time and a different weight class. Both have held belts after that match and the winner of this clash could end up getting a Lightweight title shot too.

McGregor and Poirier featured in a new UFC 257 promo and the Notorious One had some big things to say.

McGregor is possibly the biggest name in the UFC and he is known to talk a lot of trash. He toned that down in this promo and had some good words for his rival before bringing up his prediction for the battle:

“I like Dustin, I think he is a good fighter.

“He is even a great fight but great is still levels below me.

“I will knock Dustin out inside 60 seconds.”

McGregor has had some big wins in the past and it isn’t beyond him to knockout Poirier in less than a minute.

A battle for the ages?

Poirier might not have made a big prediction but he believed he would get the win too. This is an intriguing fight with both stars coming off great wins.

Poirier and McGregor is a great way to start the PPV season for the UFC. This has all the hallmarks of being a classic and hopefully, nothing unexpected takes place ahead of the battle.

The Diamond brought up how the lead up to this fight has been great and some have predicted that he would get the win.

Others have backed McGregor and it really is too close a fight to call now. However, McGregor has been hyping himself up ahead of the battle and recently claimed he could destroy a couple of versions of himself at the same time.
