Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz went on a rampage against each other on Twitter
Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor do not like each other. That’s all you would have to know about the two.
And their rivalry has often spilled outside the UFC octagon, albeit in a fun way at times rather than with malicious intent.
But it really seems like that they see each other as a punching bag to take their day out on each other, which is what seemed to happen on Twitter on Wednesday.
Diaz tweeted how he jumped to weight classes in 2010 to take on Rory Markham in a welterweight bout at UFC 111, and reminded Conor that he has already done what Conor claims to have pioneered.
And McGregor’s response was predictably hilarious. The Irishman laughed and wanted to know who Rory Markham was and also pointed out how he missed weight for that fight.
The back and forth continued when McGregor brought up his rematch against the American at UFC 202 where he left Diaz bleeding profusely.
To that, the 26-year-old reminded Conor of his failure against Khabib and how Diaz himself slapped The Russian in a scuffle a few years ago.
McGregor would obviously not take kindly to that and posted how Diaz’s slap was nothing compared to how the Irishman’s team attacked Khabib’s bus and had them trapped.
He also said how Diaz could not even win the ‘BMF’ belt they made for Diaz when he lost to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244.
And of course, the argument ended in an immature, yet somehow funny exchange. The two fought at UFC 196 and UFC 202.
A trilogy between them could well be on the cards as both have won one fight each and are obviously laying the groundwork for it way in advance through their social media scuffles.
But for now, Diaz has a date with Leon Edwards at UFC 262 while McGregor has a trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier to look forward to.
