Conor McGregor aims shot at Dustin Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation over next fight

Conor McGregor has taken a cheeky dig at Dustin Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation after disagreeing to fight him in a trilogy bout.

No sooner did Conor McGregor get knocked out by Dustin Poirier at UFC 257, than talks of a trilogy bout between the two began.

Things were going well, for the UFC, as well as for McGregor and Poirier. The Irishman had agreed to pay a whopping sum of $500,000 to Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation.

However, things took a nasty turn recently after Poirier revealed via. Twitter that there has been no contact from Conor and his team regarding the payment. McGregor was enraged, and he revealed in an expletive-laden message on Twitter that, he wouldn’t be fighting The Diamond.

Now once more he has had another go at ‘The Diamond’, this time aiming a jibe at his ‘Good Fight Foundation’.

Here’s what Conor tweeted:

“Looking to start the foundations of a good fight you guys, who’s in? McGregor Vs … ?”

Although all this might be a part of a plan to fuel up the hype surrounding the trilogy bout, one can’t overlook Conor being serious as well, as there is a truckload of top-ranked fighters available for ‘The Notorious’ to take on.

Gareth A. Davies puts forward a very interesting question regarding McGregor’s next fight

McGregor might be the face of the fight game, but none can take away what Patricio Pitbull Freire has accomplished in the Bellator. He is a two-division champion in the organization having held both the Featherweight and Lightweight belts for quite an extensive period. He is also the number 5 ranked lightweight in the world.

There has always been this long-standing question – who will win a cross-promotional fight between Pitbull and any one of the top-ranked UFC lightweights. And famed MMA reporter Gareth A. Davies put forward a very similar question.

Replying to Conor’s tweet, Gareth A Davies, tweeted:

“Would @PatricioPitbull beat @TheNotoriousMMA at this stage ?”

Beating a fully riled-up and motivated McGregor is an uphill task, but this version of the Irishman beating a high-flying Pitbull, will probably be a challenging one for ‘The Notorious’.
