Conor McGregor says he is no more a nice guy as he looks to put UFC 257 loss behind him
Recently, the Conor McGregor we have been seeing is not the cocky, overconfident, and pompous Conor McGregor of yesteryear.
He seems to be lacking the edge that set him apart from everyone in the industry. Even the fight against Dustin Poirier lacked that edge from ‘The Notorious One’ in the promos.
The Irishman went down in round 2 against ‘The Diamond’ at the PPV last month. He was gracious in defeat and immediately asked for a rematch against the American.
That shows that McGregor is not done with UFC yet. And, he now says that he is done being a ‘nice guy’.
He took to his Instagram account to post a cold photo and captioned it “No more mr nice guy”.
This is probably the question on everyone’s mind. It is fairly certain that his next fight would probably not be for the UFC lightweight belt.
He suffered a devastating loss to Poirier, and would probably have to win at least one more fight to be in the conversation for UFC gold again.
He could have a chance to do just that very soon. Poirier indicated on his Twitter account that he is interested in fighting McGregor in a third fight.
Nate Diaz and Max Holloway have been mentioned in the conversation as well, but Poirier vs McGregor would be a fight that the Irishman would want.
And if Dana White and The Diamond are on board, this could just be the match he needs to announce himself back on the scene.
And with the Irishman saying that he is done being a nice guy, Poirier might not have it so easy this time around.
