Conor McGregor Panini Card features the Irishman doing his famous “Billi Strut”
Conor McGregor is undoubtedly the most popular mixed martial artist of all time. The man was responsible for millions of eyeballs tuning in to watch the UFC.
The mid-2010s was dominated by the Irishman, which eventually earned him the nickname – “The Face of The Fight Game.”
He also brought a lot of action-packed entertainment to the sport, giving it a breath of fresh air. His trash-talking coupled with his thick Irish accent was an instant hit.
‘The Notorious’ also popularized the “Billionaire Strut”, which, invented by WWE CEO Vince McMahon was losing its sheen in the 2010s.
The value he has brought to the sport is immense, and there is no denying it.
A testament to his MMA greatness, is the sale of his Panini Card. The 2021 Panini Prizm UFC card features McGregor doing the “Billi Strut“, and it was just sold at a massive price of $27,060.
It is said to be the all-time record for any UFC Gold Prizm Card. It’s probably even comparable with the NBA GOAT Michael Jordan cards.
The news was reported by Goldin Auctions’ Twitter handle. The Tweet read:
“Final Sale Price: $27,060 An all-time record for any UFC Gold Prizm card.”
Now that Conor McGregor is down and out, UFC bantamweight Urijah Faber weighed in on the fight to make next.
Faber stated that a fight between McGregor and Nate Diaz would make sense.
Speaking to the Schmo, Faber said:
“I would say the 209, you know? Those guys both have some big clout and a long history. Everyboy is calling out Diaz because he has his clout, and he has that win over Conor… I think as far as skillset wise, that’s always an intriguing matchup.”
