Conor McGregor had his say on Derek Anderson’s broken nose at Bellator 258
Derek Anderson was left with a broken nose after just one round against Michael Page at Bellator 258. A nasty kick from Page to Anderson’s face had his nose shattered, making it appear as if it had a crater when viewed from the side.
Despite Anderson staying on his feet, the fight was called off after round 1 due to a doctor stoppage, and Anderson was finished by means of strikes for the very first time in his career.
Post-fight, Anderson was appreciated for his toughness, with Page too praising Anderson’s toughness.
Elsewhere, ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor reacted to the ‘Venom’s’ incredible leg kick TKO. He re-shared Page’s clip showing his KO to his story, posting just a single word – “SHOT.”
The Irishman also tagged Audie Attar’s Paradigm Sports of which both McGregor and Page are a part.
A returning Gregor Gillespie beat Carlos Diego Ferreira at UFC Vegas 26. The win earned him the Fight of the Night Bonus.
At the post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier, an emotional Gillespie agreed that he would soon have to go fishing in the lightweight division.
No sooner did the news reach McGregor’s ears, than he went on a Tweet train.
He first, directly aimed a shot at Gillespie, tweeting:
“This Gregor Gillespie cat is no way in hell the best fisherman in MMA. Not even fuckin close!”
And then he went about posting pictures of himself fishing and an edited ‘Champ-Champ’ picture showing McGregor holding two fishes instead of the two belts.
McGregor is set to return to action on the 10th of July at UFC 264, against Dustin Poirier.
