Conor McGregor was certainly impressed by Sergio Ramos copying his walk
UFC star Conor McGregor is one of the most popular sportspersons in the world. The Irishman is one reason why the UFC and MMA are so popular across the globe, even if he isn’t holding any of the titles now.
McGregor is still a two-division UFC Champion and has fought in three separate divisions picking up wins. The Irishman is bold, brash, confident and is never willing to back down from a fight. His personality reeks of self-belief and there are some mannerisms which have been copied by others.
One such aspect of McGregor’s character is the ‘McGregor walk’. This is basically arching the back a little and swinging both arms in a metronome.
Many stars have copied that outside the UFC, and one of them was Real Madrid and Spain defender Sergio Ramos.
Now, Ramos is a divisive figure as he has a mean streak to his game, something that most MMA stars do.
McGregor certainly was impressed by Ramos as the Spaniard celebrated for Real Madrid, and had some choice words for him too:
Sergio might be a “top baller” but McGregor has some big plans ahead it seems.
Jorge Masvidal vs Kamaru Usman for the Welterweight title was set. However, those plans seem to have been ripped apart with McGregor coming into this division.
Masvidal vs McGregor could be the next big fight for the Irishman, and this would be an amazing clash.
Usman, the Welterweight champion, might feel a little aggrieved at this situation. However, Masvidal is the BMF Champion and any fight including McGregor is a huge payday for the UFC and the other fighters too.
McGregor has been working out in Ireland as the UFC gets back to action, and it will be interesting to see what is next for the Notorious One.
