Max Holloway was an absolute beast in his fight against Calvin Kattar and claimed he was the best UFC boxer

Max Holloway made a huge statement at UFC Fight Island 7 as he defeated Calvin Kattar in the main event.

This was the first UFC event of 2021 and it had some incredible performances and knockouts. However, the main event had a lot of talking points. Holloway was on another level as he defeated Kattar 50-43, 50-43 and 50-42.

This was a one-sided fight, even if Holloway couldn’t get the finish. Nevertheless, there was another big talking point from the fight.

During a round, Holloway was speaking to the commentary team. There were a few fans in the arena but it wasn’t packed like in the past.

Holloway then shouted out he is the best boxer in the UFC and also decided to become Muhammad Ali as he avoided a lot of Kattar’s punches.

This caught the attention of one big star, Conor McGregor. The Irishman has fought Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match and he wasn’t buying Holloway’s comments.

The Irishman reacted to the comments from Holloway and had just one thing to say, “Lol”.

While McGregor vs Holloway might not happen anytime in the future, they surely are two of the best boxers in the UFC.

This Holloway was on another level and it seems he is ready for a shot at his Featherweight title. It was taken away by Alexander Volkanovski and he lost the rematch too.

However, Volkanovski faces Brian Ortega as he defends the title soon. Dana White came out and said that Volkanovski vs Holloway 3 would happen for the title.

This, however, depends on the outcome of Volkanovski vs Ortega.
