Conor McGregor from time to time reminds fans of ‘that’ historic moment

On the 12th of November, McGregor beat an in-form Eddie Alvarez in front of a huge crowd at Madison Square Garden, New York City.

In what was then described by UFC President Dana White as the biggest fight card in UFC history, Conor McGregor needed just two rounds to knock out the then lightweight champion Alvarez.

McGregor thereby became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two championship belts at the same time. That’s when McGregor called himself the ‘Double Champ’ or ‘Champ Champ’.

And, more recently, the ‘Notorious’ took to Twitter to remind fans of the same, posting a short clip from UFC 205 Weigh-ins and the aftermath.

He also posted a tweet claiming fighting was easy for him.

McGregor is all set to take on Dustin Poirier in a trilogy bout on the 10th of July at UFC 264, later this year. The pair met earlier this year at UFC 257, when McGregor was knocked out for the first time in his MMA career.

The Irishman has been showering fans with love of late. A fan named Julie caught with the ‘Notorious’ during one of his training session at a gym in Dubai.

She posted a picture alongside McGregor on Instagram exclaiming how lucky she was to catch ‘The Notorious One’ himself at a gym, before going on to say how impressive his ‘bag-hitting’ skills were.

McGregor then re-shared the post on his Instagram account thanking the fan for her kind words.
