Conor McGregor was well-receptive of Hollywood legend Jared Leto’s interest in playing the Irish MMA superstar
Academy award winning Hollywood actor Jared Leto had expressed his desire to play Conor McGregor in a movie. A big-time fan of the sport, Leto can be seen cage side or in the front row at many UFC events.
Leto told Extratv while promoting his limited series ‘We Worked’, “Well, I am a huge UFC fan and I’m a huge Dana White fan. I hope he is a huge Jared Leto fan too. Maybe I could play Dana White. That would be great. If we do the UFC movie, if I was younger, I’d play Conor McGregor. I got the beard. What Conor does and what these guys and gals do is just extraordinary…. I’m too old to do Conor, probably, but you never know. We could maybe use some CGI.”
The ‘Notorious’ one was permissive of the idea, and responded to it on his Twitter by saying,
“Jared Leto, I invite you to come and practice the part with me!”
McGregor is one of the most prominent figures to transition into pop culture and mainstream media. He has released a documentary previously on Netflix and is working towards another release sometime in the future.

Conor McGregor has set his sights on the welterweight gold and the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Kamaru Usman for his return in late summer.
McGregor (22-6) hasn’t fought since he suffered a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last July. The fight did not move past the first round, when McGregor broke the tibia and fibula bones in his left leg. He underwent surgery that same month and has been recovering since.
Speaking to his broadcast channel The Mac Life, McGregor said,
“Myself versus Usman for the 170-pound title in my comeback fight is the one I’m eyeballing at the minute. Why cut the weight? I’ve already won the 155-pound title. I got myself to a lightweight frame, but you know, I’m big now. I feel big. I feel strong. I feel healthy. I’ve got good energy. I’m coming back from a gruesome injury. I don’t want to be depleting myself. There should be no need to deplete myself.”
McGregor even poked fun at Usman calling him a jab-heavy stocky wrestler.
