Conor McGregor seems to have an eye on UFC 273
Conor McGregor might not be fighting this weekend but the Irishman has an eye on the big UFC 273 event.
UFC 273 has two titles up for grabs with the Featherweight and Bantamweight belts being defended. There is also a huge Welterweight clash between Gilbert Burns and the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev, but McGregor decided to highlight another fight.
Mackenzie Dern takes on Tecia Torres in the second fight on the main card. McGregor retweeted an exchange between the two women and was rooting for his teammate Dern.
The Irishman even claimed that this was going to be an exciting fight. McGregor also had some words for Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell over their recent payouts.
The Irishman suggested that they had made half a billion in their recent dealings.
Mackenzie Dern vs Tecia Torres could be great
Dern comes into this fight on the back of a unanimous decision loss to Marina Rodriguez. She is currently 11-2 in her MMA career and was on the back of four consecutive wins before her loss to Rodriguez.
Tecia Torres, for her part, is 13-5 in her MMA career. The American is on a three-fight winning streak and her last loss was against Rodriguez in 2019.
The fight could be exciting as Dern has won seven of her 11 fights via submission. Torres, on the other hand, has just two finishes in her career with 11 of her wins coming via decision.
All eyes will be on the final three fights of the UFC 273 card. However, this fight between Dern and Torres could just be one of the best bouts of the night.
