Conor McGregor claims he was tested twice for drugs after a rigorous workout recently
Irish MMA legend Conor McGregor let ripped into the UFC, USADA and Nate Diaz after he was tested twice for drugs recently.
McGregor had posted some videos of him training and then ripped into the UFC after sharing one video on social media.
The Irishman is set to fight Dustin Poirier and needs to work out to stay in shape. However, testing by the USADA is random and fighters have to let them know about their whereabouts.
While McGregor wasn’t upset at being tested at, twice this week, he claimed that tainted stars were being shielded.
“Usada tested me right before this. Blood and urine. That’s twice this week. I don’t blame them, I’m a animal. What irks me tho is there is never an announcement of athletes caught anymore? This means –
“1. They can keep it quiet.
“2. Tainted supplement bulls*** excuses are accepted”
McGregor has been tested several times this year, even since he came back to fighting since he had retired last year.
This isn’t the first time McGregor pulled off this stunt, but there was more to come from the former champion.
Nate Diaz called up by Conor McGregor
Jeff Novitzky, UFC Senior VP of Athlete Health and Performance, was one person that McGregor tagged.
He claimed that the UFC wasn’t telling people about stars testing positive for banned substances. The Irishman also brought up the issue of Nate Diaz, who has had his issues in the past with drug tests in the UFC.
McGregor suggested that the UFC was hiding results and even questioned how stars are getting cleared to fight just before some big events.
McGregor has been on a bit of a streak since losing to Poirier at UFC 257. He proclaimed he was done being a nice guy and this could be his way of going back to his Notorious days.
The Irishman already has had a big tiff with Poirier regarding the donation for The Diamond’s charity after UFC 257.
