Conor McGregor shared a template for his future statue
Conor McGregor is one of the best lightweight fighters in the history of the UFC. The mid-2010s belonged to the Irishman.
Right from his UFC debut, McGregor had an aura around him. He was specifically known for his trash-talking and his ability to back the same.
At UFC 205 (after beating Eddie Alvarez), in 2016, McGregor became the first man in UFC to hold two belts simultaneously (featherweight and lightweight).
Following his victory a suited-up McGregor paraded around with the two belts of his.
In a recent Instagram post, McGregor shared a picture of him holding the two belts, back in 2016.
McGregor suggested that the statue makers should use this as their template for a future Conor McGregor statue.
He captioned the post:
“When you are making my statues and you will, use this as your template.”
Following his loss at UFC 264, Conor McGregor has been acting up on social media. He has fired shots at several notable names like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping.
In a recent episode of ‘The Fighter vs The Writer” podcast, Bisping revealed why McGregor had been lashing out on social media following his UFC 264 defeat.
Bisping was quoted as saying:
“For (Conor), right now, that’s the best way he can deal with losing these fights. I’m not making excuses for him, far from it, because I was at the receiving end of some of his bullsh*t recently as well.” [via BJPenn.com]
