Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier square off tomorrow in the main event of UFC 264
We are hardly a day away from Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier trilogy fight which will be the UFC 264 headliner. Fan-favourite McGregor will be looking forward to getting his hands raised and exacting revenge for the UFC 257 loss.
Both the fighters weighed in successfully during the weigh-ins. A few hours later the ceremonial weigh-ins took place. McGregor and Poirier faced off for the second time following their UFC 264 pre-fight presser faceoff, the previous night.
After the faceoff, Joe Rogan caught up with McGregor and asked ‘The Irishman’ for his thoughts about tomorrow night.
McGregor then fired a baleful and doomy warning to Poirier. He sounded hurt as well, which probably seemed like it was due to the donation saga that took place a few months ago.
‘The Notorious’ threatened to kill Poirier inside the Octagon.
McGregor told Joe Rogan:
“Joe, In 16 hours’ time, this man is going to learn, that if you disrespect a person’s kindness and take it as a weakness, you must pay. Tomorrow night I’m going to make this man pay with his life and I mean it. You’re dead in that Octagon tomorrow night.”
YouTuber Jake Paul feels that McGregor has lost his usual Midas touch. ‘The Problem Child’ put out an elaborate tweet claiming that ‘The Irishman’ has become more of a try-hard, and hence planned on exposing him if the two ever fought.
Paul’s tweet read:
“You can tell Conor has lost “it”. He no longer speaks from a place of authenticity & you can tell he’s trying to convince himself of his own lies. He takes offense to everything now. He’s bathing in his own insecurities. When we fight I will further expose him for the fraud he is.”
