Conor McGregor trains with India’s next “heavyweight champion” and pledges support in Covid fight

Conor McGregor has shown his support to India which is reeling due to the coronavirus

McGregor has been actively training in Dubai ahead of his revenge match against Dustin Poirier. ‘The Notorious’ has been putting the hard yards in the gym, to take the upper hand in the trilogy bout.

Actively running down the streets of Dubai and sparring with a load of talented combat sports fighters, he has been doing it all.

McGregor recently had a training session with “Indian heavyweight champion” (according to McGregor), Ramston Rodrigues.

He revealed that he got to know how strong India and its people are, while working with Rodrigues and pledged his support to the ailing nation.

His post read:

“Training with India’s next heavyweight champion, @ramstonrodrigues. Working with Ramston, I know first hand how strong India and its people truly are! I stand with India in their fight through Covid. Let’s go India! We are with you! The world is with you!”

Not much is known about Rodrigues, except for the fact that he trains at the UFC Gym in UAE. He is believed to be an up and coming mixed martial artist.

Conor McGregor reveals fight plan if he were to fight Floyd Mayweather again

McGregor has just one professional boxing fight to his name. He came up against the ever elusive and the great Floyd Mayweather. He lost via. TKO in the 10th round.

McGregor was recently asked by a fan about what changes he would be bringing to his game if he fought Mr Money again. The Irishman replied that he would bring changes to the way he sparred, by pressing forward in the later rounds.

McGregor wrote:

“I’d have people press forward in sparring. Especially in the later rounds. A fresh body pressing forward for the last 4 rounds.”
