The charity wheelchair boxing fight between Conor McGregor and Al Foran has been postponed for the second time
Following his nasty leg injury in July 2021, Conor McGregor agreed to fight Irish impressionist Al Foran in a charity wheelchair boxing fight.
The agreement took place in August, and the pair decided to fight in September. Since, McGregor’s leg did not heal enough to enable him to take part in the contest, it was pushed to December.
Now, it looks like the fans will have to wait until March to see the two Irishmen throw down. Time constraint has been named the reason for the same.
Taking to Twitter, Al Foran informed the same. He also acknowledged the fact that he would have more time to perfect the basics.
His Tweet read:
“Due to time constraints the upcoming charity fight with Conor McGregor has been postponed until March folks, more time for @SirStevoTimothy to put on a show for the ages and more time for me to at least learn the basics of the sweet science.See you in March @TheNotoriousMMA.”
Conor McGregor responds to Al Foran
Conor McGregor replied to Al Foran’s Tweet saying that he would be ready when they are.
“Someone is looking out for you up there Al haha. God bless lads, let me know when you guys are ready, I am here.”
McGregor is currently serving a 6-month medical suspension in the UFC, and is expected to be back by the second week of January.
A lot of names have been thrown in the mix – for a fight against ‘The Irishman.’
