Conor McGregor wished his training partner Peter Queally luck ahead of his fight against Patricky Freire

Queally, the Irishman, takes on the returning Patricky Freire in the main card of Bellator 258.

Queally last fought almost two years ago, against Ryan Scope at Bellator 227, winning via. unanimous decision.

His opponent Patricky, the older Freire brother, is making his return to the Bellator, after a brief spell with Rizin Fighting Federation. He is coming off a loss against Tofiq Musayev at Rizin 20, Lightweight Grand Prix Final.

Coincidentally both the fighters’ last win in the Bellator was against Ryan Scope.

The Bellator 258 weigh-ins concluded yesterday and Queally hit the lightweight mark. His training partner, the one and only ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor wished him the best of luck for his fight.

McGregor tweeted:

“A true pro, The Showstopper! Let’s go @peterqueally!”

Queally will be looking forward to see off Patricky and climb up the Bellator lightweight ladder soon. It is worthy to mention that Queally has never been finished in his professional MMA career, with all his 5 losses coming via. decision.

There was a lot to celebrate from Queally’s camp as he won the fight and McGregor was there to congratulate him too.

Conor McGregor tears into Floyd Mayweather after ‘Gotcha Hat’ incident

Things turned ugly at the press conference between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather as, Logan’s brother Jake stole Mayweather’s hat. Jake was caught by Mayweather’s entourage and beaten up, leaving him with a black eye.

McGregor reacted to this incident, blasting Mayweather for becoming a shadow of his majestic self. Earlier that day, Mayweather had completely lost it, like never before, which is probably why the Irishman seemed to pity Mr Money.

Here is what McGregor had to say on the Gram:

Hey @leonardellerbe, what the f**k is Floyd at? The kid curled up, didn’t fight back once, and Floyd is still running around acting the tough guy. The kid actually just pulled this shambles of a situation Floyd is in out of the drain for him. He should thank him. It’s embarrassing! Pro to pro it’s embarrassing. He will not scratch 10m for this fight and he knows it. It was cancelled once already. The world is watching this on Twitter. He’d fight a half decent pro and command 20m upwards, yet its this s**t. Whatever way you spin this, it’s sad. Fight someone for real, on your record, or f**k off mate. Slap head!”
