Light-heavyweights Corey Anderson and Jan Blachowicz have been trading shots on Twitter

Corey Anderson earned a statement win over Ryan Bader in the Bellator Light-Heavyweight World Grand Prix Semi-Final at Bellator 268.

‘Overtime’ knocked Bader out in the very first round to advance to the final. He will be taking on Vadim Nemkov.

Following his win, Anderson claimed that he was the best light-heavyweight in the world – a comment which piqued UFC Light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.

Blachowicz and Anderson have faced off twice in the UFC. The first fight ended in a unanimous decision win for Anderson.

And, the second one, the recent one saw Blachowicz brutally knock Anderson out. That was also Anderson’s last fight in the UFC (February 2020).

Blachowicz took to Twitter to point the same out. He wrote:

“Hold up… So a guy who bolted from the UFC after I’ve slept him and almost made him retire, got a couple of wins in the 2nd league and claims he is the best? Maybe I’ve punched him to hard… No class in win or defeat Corey. There’s levels to this.”

Anderson played it down saying that the Pole got lucky the second time around:

“Let’s not forget. What happened to you the 1st time I left you looking like elephant man. And you posted “I need to go home and rethink my career.” Yea I got knocked out in our 2nd fight (lucky punch?) but I made you my broad for 15 min straight nothing lucky about that.”

Anderson also posted a photo of Blachowicz looking beat up following the fight.

He captioned the post:

“He must’ve forgot.”
