Former UFC women’s champion Cris Cyborg who is now the Bellator women’s featherweight champion made her voice known on Miesha Tate

Miesha Tate returned to mixed martial arts, earlier this year, after nearly five years of being away from the sport.

She faced Marion Reneau in July 2021, and earned a TKO win, thereby becoming the first woman to knock Reneau out. A return Tate very much needed.

On the 20th of November, a rejuvenated Tate will take on Ketlen Vieira at UFC Fight Night: Vieira vs Tate.

With her fight inching closer, former UFC legend and current Bellator women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg expressed her desire to see Tate in Bellator someday.

Taking to Twitter, Cyborg wrote:

Her Tweet came after Tate expressed her interest in an interview with Marc Raimondi that she would like to see the UFC re-sign Cyborg and add Harrison to the roster as well.

Cris Cyborg and Miesha Tate were champions in Strikeforce

Cris Cyborg and Miesha Tate dominated Strikeforce during the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Cyborg was the women’s featherweight champion in Strikeforce. She won the title after beating Gina Carano back in August 2009, before going on to defend it twice.

Tate won the title during the same time period as well. She beat Marloes Coeneen in 2011 to win the women’s bantamweight championship.
